Major League Gaming boasts a busy broascast schedule during autumn, with Prizefights and Invitationals every week.

Here?s the basic brief, but you can see a full schedule here.

• MOBA (Wednesdays at 7:00PM ET) ? Free to Watch

  Wednesday nights at MLG will feature the best MOBA games and players. League of Legends matchups will be featured this Fall in the ongoing series ? MLG Prizefights presented by BIC Flex4 Razors. On September 26 at 7pm ET, fans can watch a Counter Logic Gaming showmatch as team CLG Prime takes on CLG EU. Commentary will be provided by Tom ?Optimus? Searfoss and Chris ?MonteCristo? Mykles. Weekly MOBA broadcasts will also include the Finals of the MLG League of Legends Gamebattles Tournaments.

• StarCraft II (Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7:00PM ET) ? Free to Watch

  Beginning October 2, Tuesdays and Thursdays will be devoted to StarCraft II starting with the StarCraft II Online Qualifiers. Featuring competitions for Europe, North America, and Korea/Taiwan, the broadcast will highlight the best from each region with the victors receiving coveted Group Play spots and paid trips to the Fall Championship in Dallas from November 2-4. Shows will be commentated by Nick ?Axslav? Ranish and Alex ?Axeltoss? Rodriguez.

• MvP Invitational (Kicks off Thursday, September 27, airing Mondays and Fridays at 7:00PM ET) ? PPV only

  As previously announced, the world?s best StarCraft II players will meet up in an unprecedented collaboration between MLG and KeSPA?s Proleague in the MvP Invitational. A complete overview of the tournament, players and first week match-ups is available here. Kicking off on Thursday, September 27, the MvP Invitational will feature 15 days of broadcast with 100+ games casted for dozens of hours of content. 48 players will compete for a $10,000 first prize, paid trips to Dallas, and coveted Group Play spots. Shows will be commentated by Nick ?Axslav? Ranish and Alex ?Axeltoss? Rodriguez and passes are available online.

Recent Breast Cancer Study Giving New Hope To Doctors, Patients ...

CHICAGO (CBS) ? A recent breakthrough could change the way doctors treat breast cancer.

An analysis of the genetics of breast cancer has identified four distinct classes of the disease, and researchers hope the findings will lead to more effective treatments. The study, published Sunday in the journal Nature, also hinted that one type of the cancer could be treated with drugs already used in the treatment of ovarian cancer.

CBS 2?s Marissa Bailey spent the day with the Chicago doctor who had a part in the stunning new research.

Dr. Fumi Olapade, director of the cancer risk clinic at the University of Chicago, has been instrumental in the research, contributing samples directly from the university?s lab.

?We always thought breast cancer was one disease, and now we know it?s many different types of diseases,? Olapade said.

She was one of many authors of a new study out this week that categorizes breast cancer in four main forms.

Many are calling results groundbreaking, and say it will change the way doctors treat women going forward.

?For example, if a woman gets diagnosed with breast cancer, the first question that you ask is what type of breast cancer is it?? Olapade said. ?And now, every hospital can use a few markers to tell a woman what kind of breast cancer they have.?

The study also found one of the forms of breast cancer looks almost identical to ovarian cancer ? meaning drugs that treat and prevent ovarian cancer could help treat or prevent breast cancer.

For breast cancer patient Brandy Pinske, these results give her one more reason to fight.

She said the findings give her hope.

?For me, I don?t know, if they say 10 years, I?ll be here 10 years from now to get it. So that?s my attitude,? Pinske said.

While in 10 years, results might be different, Olapade said the new findings are a big step in the right direction.

?We will know how to pick the right drug, for the right patient, and at the right time,? she said.

Olapade said, right now, testing for one of the four forms of breast cancer costs thousands and thousands of dollars. The hope is that costs will come down, making it affordable for people to be tested.

The study was conducted by the international journal Nature, and was funded ? in part ? by federal stimulus money.

Apple Reportedly Recuiting Google Ex-Employees In Bid To Improve iOS 6 Maps App

Apple is actively recruiting Google staffers who worked on Google Maps in an effort to bulk up its own Maps app, according to TechCrunch.

TechCrunch?s source is a contractor who spent time working with Google?s Street View service. The contractor has reportedly seen many of his co-workers accept new jobs at Apple.

According to the TechCrunch source: ?Many of my co-workers at Google Maps eventually left when their contracts ended or on their own accord. One guy looked around for other [geographic information system] work and ended up at Apple when a recruiter contacted him. He had heard rumors for a while that Apple was going to develop its own in-house mapping platform, and given his experience at Google, he was an easy hire. Apple went out of their way to bring him down to Cupertino and he?s now paid hansomly [sic] as a GIS Analyst."

The source added: "Another co-worker that was a project lead at Google Maps, left for the East Coast after his contract ended, and was recently contacted by an Apple recruiter. The position sounds like a product development manager position, and will pay him $85k+ and all the moving expenses from the East Coast. He?s gone through 2 rounds of interview and seems like a frontrunner to land that position.?

The source continued: ?Apple has a lot of catching up to do if it wants to build a robust mapping platform to counter Google Maps, so it doesn?t surprise me that it?s going out of its way to lure former and current Google Maps employees. At Google Maps, we know what data?s important, rendering priorities, keyword searches, and how the user experience is supposed to be. However, Apple needs to find a way to get its own 5 million miles of street view data, partner with the right folks, and spend a fortune on licensed data -- which it can.?

If this rumor is true, then it could mean that Apple is seriously committed to improving its Maps app and is aware that its current state is flawed. Obviously, there?s no word on how soon the Google ex-employees would

North Carolina has sent information to the NCAA about the hiring of the mother of former UNC basketball star Tyler Hansbrough as a fundraiser and her travels.

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. (AP) -- North Carolina has provided information to the NCAA about the hiring of the mother of former basketball star Tyler Hansbrough as a fundraiser and her travels.

In documents faxed to the NCAA on Sept. 13, the school included summaries of Tami Hansbrough's trips in March 2009 that coincided with her son's games in the Atlantic Coast Conference and NCAA tournaments.

The school said then-athletic director Dick Baddour and assistant athletic director for compliance Amy Herman reviewed the trips and determined no violations took place. Athletic spokesman Steve Kirschner said Saturday the fax was meant to brief the NCAA following media reports and the school isn't reporting a violation.

Hansbrough raised about $5 million for the dental school foundation before moving to another university fundraising job in 2011. She resigned this month after questions arose about spending on trips she took with top UNC fundraiser Matt Kupec, who also has resigned.

Those trips included destinations where her younger son, Ben, was playing basketball for Notre Dame.

Hansbrough's trips to Atlanta and Memphis, Tenn., during Tyler's senior season were later approved as legitimate because she reported meeting with potential donors as the Tar Heels went on to win the NCAA championship.

In a cover letter to NCAA assistant director for enforcement Mike Zonder, UNC general counsel Leslie Strohm wrote that Hansbrough was selected for the dental school foundation job in 2008 by a five-member search committee from a pool of 41 candidates.

She was chosen for the university fundraising job by a six-member search committee from a pool of 38 candidates, according to Strohm's letter.

On wet and humid afternoons, paint dries more slowly on the walls, which means that you will be at your project longer.
