FIVE Maryborough clubs hit hard by the floods earlier this year will be given grants as part of one of the State Government's biggest sport relief programs.
Maryborough Amateur Athletic Club, Brothers Junior Rugby League Club, Maryborough Sailing Club, Fraser Coast Rugby League and Wide Bay Archers are set to receive $64,000 to share between them.
"This vital aid for our grassroots sporting and recreation clubs is testament to the Newman Government's determination to see them back up and running as soon as possible," Member for Maryborough Anne Maddern said.
"Queensland has seen more than its share of natural disasters recently and although the first focus is to help those whose homes and businesses have been affected, it's also important to recognise our invaluable community organisations."
